Unconditional Animal Angels

Today we would like to share some amazing stories of animals who have helped their human or animal friends because of their unconditional love. In the early hours of December 31, 2019, the Victoria bushfires moved in towards the tiny town of Corryong, while the rest of the world was ready to welcome in the new year. As fire and smoke engulfed the area, Patsy, a border collie mix, quickly sp

Traditions of Love between Humans and Animal Co-Inhabitants

Evidence of animals being considered as divine can be found in ancient and modern cultures and religions. According to a CNN report, researchers found the remains of chickens and brown hares from the British Iron Age in southern and southeast England, UK. They had been buried carefully, and their skeletons were fully intact. Archaeological evidence and historical accounts prove that these two anim

Animals in the Snow Wonderland

Animals in the Snow Wonderland

Today we will explore incredible winter lands with amazing wild animals. Penguins, the iconic animal of the Antarctic, are well known for their endurance in extreme conditions, with the emperor penguin able to withstand temperatures of -30°C with winds blasting at 200 kilometers per hour. Generally speaking, warm-blooded animals that inhabit cold regions are fairly big. Large animals have a smaller surface to volume ratio and thus relatively less surface area through which to lose heat. The smallest Antarctic penguin, the rockhopper, weighs an average of 2.5 kilograms, and the largest, the emperor penguin, is around 30 kilograms in weight. Male emperor penguins also huddle together in groups of several thousand to survive the biting wind and relentless cold. Scientists have recorded temperatures of more than 35 degrees Celsius within the huddle. Keep warm guys! Japanese macaques, also known as snow monkeys, truly love the snow, particularly the young ones. They roll about and play in it. The youngsters make snowballs, carry them around, and have fun with them. They even play a game of trying to take each other’s snowballs! These macaques are great leapers and tree climbers, which they take advantage of to move around when there is thick snow. To cope with the icy-cold temperatures, snow leopards are protected by thick gray or creamy yellow hair with grayish-black spots. Their broad feet, which are covered with fur, act as natural snowshoes. They use their long tails as blankets to protect sensitive body parts against the biting mountain chill. These tremendous jumpers can cross up to 15 meters in one leap. The snow leopard is listed as an endangered species, with only about 3,500 to 7,000 left in the wild.It has been my pleasure to show you how we animals adapt to the cold winter with heavy snow. Despite our amazing ability to withstand the freezing temperatures, we would much appreciate it if you would take extra care when walking through our habitats to not disturb us during our most vulnerable time in winter.

Capybaras: The Friendliest Animals on Earth

Capybara means “grass eater.” Capybaras inhabit swampy and grassy semi-aquatic environments, like flooded savannas, and densely forested areas near rivers, lakes, ponds, marshes, and streams. These places are perfect for them since they often go in and out of the water. The lifespan of a wild capybara is 8 to 10 years. Characterized by blunt snouts, small ears, squat legs and regressed tails, thei

When wanting to nurture and attract wildlife to your garden, balcony or patio, it’s important to remember that animals can sense the energetic feeling of the home and that many animals will be attracted to more harmonious, uplifting and kind vibrations that they feel being emitted. “That is what causes the happiness or the sorrow of our life – the energies; the negative energy or the positi

In today’s show, we’ll explore things that can be done to make backyard pools safer for the wildlife that may come to visit and also for the animals already living there. To help prevent animals from falling into the pool in the first place, it’s a great idea to keep any surrounding trees neatly trimmed back so that they don’t hang over the water itself. It’s also a good idea to have a fence aroun

Animals equipped with internal compasses are able to navigate by analyzing its direction, intensity or inclination to determine their location or direction. Dogs are famous for their incredible sense of smell, which scientists estimate is between 10,000 and 100,000 times m
