Using data from planetary science missions of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the United States, scientists have concluded that our solar system’s celestial shield, also known as the heliosphere, has the shape of a crescent or a “deflated croissant.” The heliosphere is a giant bubble around the sun and planets that is made up of plasma, which originates and flows from the sun in what is called the solar wind. It helps in protecting the planets from galactic cosmic rays. Previously, it was believed that the heliosphere was the shape of a comet, with a long trailing tail. This new finding may help scientists in looking for life on other planets by searching for those with a heliosphere of a similar shape as ours. A heavenly salute, NASA scientists, for your fascinating findings. We look forward to more amazing discoveries about the glorious Sun, as we strive to emulate her goodness by unconditionally sharing with all, in the illumination of the Divine.Up next, renewable energy production increasing globally. Make sure each dog has his or her own food and water dish. 2. Try feeding them in different rooms or with a divider between the feeding areas. The report, which surveyed 48 countries, also revealed Europe and the UK saw the largest increase of wind and solar at 21% and 33% respectively, while the steepest drop in coal production was seen in the United States at 31% and Europe at 32%. However, Dave Jones, Senior Electricity Analyst of Ember, cautioned, “To keep a chance of limiting climate change to 1.5 degrees Celsius, coal generation needs to fall by 13%every year this decade.” Many thanks for this important report, Ember, and to every nation working to heal the planet. The funds are in addition to contributions from other US government agencies and private donors. The United States, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, has provided almost US$350 million through USAID since August 2018 for countering Ebola in the DRC and neighboring countries. The money is used to continue educating the public about prevention, maintain treatment facilities, deploy rapid-response teams to remote areas and support Ebola survivors. Our heartfelt gratitude, United States! Your generosity is a beacon of hope for humanity, in the unconditional grace of Heaven.New study shows common cold may prepare people for more dangerous viruses. In humans and other vertebrates, helper T cells are essential components of the adaptive immune system that the body develops to defend against specific bacteria, viruses and other pathogens. Researchers in Berlin, Germany, were surprised to find that 35% of the healthy individuals they tested already had helper T cells capable of recognizing fragments of the COVID-19 virus. The scientists theorize that previous exposure to coronaviruses that cause seasonal colds may help protect the public from more serious illnesses, but this cross-reactivity will need to be further examined in future studies. Outstanding work, German researchers! We are encouraged by your findings and pray that advancements in medicine will be accompanied by growing compassion for all beings.Up next, Israel encourages tree hugging during pandemic to reduce stress. We’ll take a moment to thank the employee relations specialists, who help the Human Resources department optimize the relationship between management and staff, from the recruitment and hiring phase to conducting exit interviews. My power comes from eating plants! Here’s a tip on storing cucumbers. When you bring them home, wrap each one in its own cloth towel, to absorb excess moisture. Then, put them in an airtight reusable plastic bag that you will keep in the crisper section of your refrigerator. If you know you’re not going to use them within one week, you can keep them in the freezer for up to six months, although the texture will change. Much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now for the weather around the world.Government prescribes trees to remedy citizens’ lonesomeness. The Israel Nature and Parks Authority (INPA) works to maintain green spaces and heritage sites while encouraging the public to participate in the process. At the beginning of summer 2020, the country experienced a new surge in coronavirus infections, reinforcing the need for people to practice social distancing. INPA launched a social media campaign encouraging the public to spend time outdoors and hug trees to help with overcoming feelings of isolation. Orit Steinfeld, the agency’s marketing manager, said, “In this unpleasant corona period, we recommend to people around the world to go out to nature, take a deep breath, hug a tree, express your love and get love.” Our hearts are warmed, Orit Steinfeld and Israel Nature and Parks Authority, for making such a wonderful recommendation. May we all remember the blessings from flora and fauna, in nurturing Celestial light.Koreans reap the benefits of low-emission transit. In accordance with a countrywide green mobility initiative, the city of Seoul is preparing to add even more electric buses to its public transportation fleet before the end of the year. The city trialed electric vehicles in November 2018, with a view to reducing diesel exhaust and improving air quality, and proceeded to acquire its first 135 alternative coaches in 2019. The first half of 2020 saw the purchase of another 226, and now the goal is to have a total of 392 electric buses on the roads by 2021. The government estimates that each bus can save US$10,500 per year in energy costs. Other benefits include lower greenhouse gas emissions, diminished maintenance costs and fewer health care expenses. Bravo, Seoul, Korea! May your wise leadership serve as an example for other cities to follow, in Heaven’s abiding care.Emergency accommodations extended for homeless population in Victoria, Australia. In the spring of 2020, the early days of COVID-19, capital cities around Australia mobilized to get rough sleepers off the streets and into vacancies at hotels, motels and student housing. In Melbourne, more than 2,000 individuals without a fixed residence were offered shelter until the end of July. In response to the unexpected duration of the pandemic, the state pledged to extend the program until next April. This will not only help limit the risk of infection, but will give people a chance to rebuild their lives. The Honorable Daniel Andrews, Premier of Victoria, voiced optimism that the government’s novel approach may lead to a permanent solution for homelessness. As people leave meat diets behind and embrace plant-based ones, there would be increased employment available in low-carbon agriculture, vegan food production and ecotourism. By 2030, this would add up to 15 million net new jobs being created, which the region needs to support a sustainable recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. Smallholders and family farmers growing high-quality fruits and vegetables would not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also provide healthier diets for the general population. For the first time in four years, specially installed remote cameras have recorded photos and videos of new felines roaming the area. Preservationists from all three groups are encouraged that the species may be able to avoid extinction. The infrequency of the sightings indicates that population density is still low and the key to the endangered animal’s comeback will be zero tolerance for poaching activity of any kind. Thailand is a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance laureate. Way to go, Thailand and dedicated partners! May we soon see a world where all wild animals flourish anew in rehabilitated habitats that sustain precious biodiversity, in Celestial splendor. Now comes an unconditional joke for you, but you should laugh. Ah, don’t envy me, just get the same tool as I did: that’s right, the vegan diet. Then you'll have the same result. Today, I would like to share a cleaning tip with you. It is important to wash your pillows every once in a while, as they can accumulate a lot of dust, skin cells, and bacteria. You can put pillows filled with polyester in the washing machine. Keep the machine balanced by washing two pillows at a time. Prior to putting them in the washer, make sure you compress as much air out as you can. Hot water should be used in addition to a mild natural detergent. Add a cup of baking soda to eliminate odors or white vinegar to remove mold and mildew. An energy-saving way to dry the pillows is to hang them outside in the sun. Fluff them every couple of hours to avoid lumps from forming. Another benefit of sun drying is that the sun helps to disinfect the pillow. Make sure the pillows are completely dry before using them again. Thank you for tuning in, and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather around our beautiful globe.Australian researchers develop new method to create energy-efficient glass coatings for smart windows.Scientists from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia have created a more simple and cost-effective spray-on clear coating for glass that helps block harmful UV heat and light. The coatings also conduct electricity, and can be used on LED lights, solar panels, touchscreens and more. Current methods of making clear coatings for smart windows use indium, which is a rare and expensive element. However, this new procedure utilizes the abundant and more affordable tin oxide combined with other chemicals to improve transparency and conductivity. Smart windows can help save millions of dollars in electricity and prevent thousands of tons of CO2 emissions. What an achievement, RMIT University researchers! In God’s boundless wisdom, may more eco-friendly technology such as yours soon be used as we optimize every aspect of our living to protect our beautiful planet. One of the world’s longest electricity interconnectors to bring Danish green energy to the United Kingdom. The Viking Link, a 765-kilometer electrical cable will run under the North Sea, extending from Revsing on the Jutland peninsula in Denmark to Lincolnshire in eastern UK, and be connected to Denmark’s extensive wind power resources. Jennifer Polito-Mount of New Jersey, United States is a professional photographer who volunteers her talents at the Home for Good Dog Rescue. Fortunately, Ms. Polito-Mount came up with the idea of creating digital portraits of animal companions in exchange for donations to the shelter. Photos of the adored animal friends are photoshopped into oil-style paintings. You can keep the ear loops of your mask away from your ears, while maintaining a suitable mask position, by simply using a rubber band and paperclip. First, try securing the strings from your mask to the back of your head using a paperclip. This will avoid placement of the bands directly on your ears. Alternatively, if you find that the strings are fastened too tight, you can extend the ear loops by attaching rubber bands to each end, and then using the paperclip to secure it. Stay safe! Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now, the weather around the world.Plastic bag sales greatly reduced in United Kingdom after implementation of bag charge. Sales of single-use plastic bags in England have plummeted since the 2015 introduction of a 5 pence charge per plastic bag in large supermarkets across the country. In the last year alone, major retailers Asda, Marks and Spencer, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, the Co-operative Group, Tesco, and Waitrose collectively sold 322 million fewer bags than in the 2018-2019 period. The average consumer in England now uses up to four plastic bags a year from the main retailers, compared to 140 bags annually in 2014. Furthermore, since the introduction of the charge, £178 million has been donated to charity. The United Kingdom is a Shining World Wise Leadership Award and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Animal Protection and Kindness laureate. Congratulations, United Kingdom! We are so happy to hear of your eco-friendly success. May we all continue to move towards a cleaner and sustainable future, in Heaven’s joyous splendor.Australian state invests in system to help people experiencing homelessness. Heaven’s blessings, Logan Mishoe and Austin Nichols, for your honest actions to ensure that the wallet was returned to its rightful owner, and our gratitude, Police Chief Mark Garnsey, for honoring their goodness. To further the progress towards peace, Afghanistan’s grand assembly of elders known as the Loya Jirga, has approved the freeing of 400 Taliban prisoners. The decision was subsequently signed by Afghan President His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, and follows a peace agreement between the United States and the Taliban earlier in the year. The Taliban welcomed the Loya Jirga decision, expressing a desire for a rapid commencement of peace talks, which hold the opportunity for a new era of harmony. Our respectful commendation, Afghanistan’s Loya Jirga and Your Excellency Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. May these auspicious events bring prosperity and happiness to the peace-loving citizens of Afghanistan, in Allah’s grace.German bank provides humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Egyptians. Here’s a tip for those with newly adopted animal companions. Create a space to accommodate your new furfriend to make them feel safe and immediately welcomed. Choose a bed that allows enough room for them to stretch and grow, yet isn’t too large, as they like to feel cozy and protected. Add a blanket to their bed to give additional comfort, especially for cooler days. If your friend likes to be outside a lot, you can try a special made animal companion house to provide protection. Also be sure that their outside bed is in a position that it is shielded from weather conditions. You might consider trying mats or beds with waterproof liners, so the main bedding always stays dry and just the outside cover can be washed when needed. Thank you for tuning in, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather around the world!Canadian company develops lithium battery recycling technology. Li-Cycle, based in Ontario, Canada, has developed a method to recover over 95% of the contents of old lithium batteries to create the materials required to produce new ones. This involves the shredding of old batteries and then the separation of the mixed materials via non-toxic chemical processing. Compared to extracting new materials from the ground, this process saves 60% in greenhouse gas emissions and solves the problem of sustainably recycling old batteries in a cost-efficient manner. Li-Cycle’s first plant in the United States is due to be set up in New York later this year and will have the capacity to input 5,000 tons of lithium per year. Way to go, Li-Cycle! May your efforts in battery recycling help in safeguarding Mother Earth for future generations, in God’s splendor.Scientists develop new method to detect space debris. Scientists from the Space Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences have created a technique that allows the detection of space debris during daylight hours. With the current system of debris tracking, objects and material at a distance are only visible during a few hours after sunset and before sunrise, when they are illuminated by sunlight, but are not in the Earth’s shadow. The new procedure uses specialized telescopes, filters and detectors that can increase the contrast of the material, thus making it visible. This advancement will allow researchers to more accurately map and monitor the path of space debris, thus protecting satellites and atmospheric equipment. Congratulations, Austrian Academy of Sciences researchers, on your important accomplishment. As we enter the golden age of technology, in Celestial delight, may the ways we observe and understand our amazing cosmos continue to expand.Ten-year-old boy’s charity provides protection to police dogs. Two years ago, when then eight-year-old Brady Snakovsky of Ohio, United States watched a television program about police dogs, he noticed that the canine units lacked the same protection as their human counterparts. The compassionate boy decided to do something to help. He founded a charity called Brady’s K9 Fund and also set up a GoFundMe page, which has already reached over US$315,000, to raise the money required to buy protective vests for the working canines. The donations have allowed 264 police dogs in at least 23 US states and in Canada to be equipped with the specially designed vests, and have also benefitted military dogs in Afghanistan. Recently, the altruistic youth has also assisted in opening a local dog park where police dogs can participate in their monthly training. Admirable work, Brady! God bless you. Your caring example, and that of the noble police dogs you love, bring uplifting light into our world, in Divine benevolence. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Happily present the Shining World Compassion Award to Brady Snakovsky, plus a US$10,000 humble contribution for this caring cause, with much love, praises and best wishes. Using images from the European Commission’s Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite, researchers from the British Antarctic Survey have discovered 11 new colonies of emperor penguin colonies living in Antarctica. This brings the number of known colonies of the lovely aquatic birds to 61. Some of the groups were found on offshore sea ice that had formed around icebergs that were grounded in shallow water. The finding increases the known population of this largest penguin species by five to ten percent, to a little over 500,000 individuals. However, the penguins depend on sea ice for their breeding, and scientists have been concerned about the impact of global warming on them. Thank you, researchers from the British Antarctic Survey, for your encouraging news. In today’s news, research confirms dangers of climate change, Seoul supports Pyongyang’s food security efforts, Spain advances in renewable energy, growing number of Australians abstain from alcohol, Emirati athlete sets world record, tofu sales soar in United Kingdom, and compassionate American teen raises funds for senior dogs.Experts advise mitigating climate change to assist global health and economy. In a recent report by the United States’ nonprofit organization National Bureau of Economic Research, a team of international scientists calculated that global warming could cause an average 85 deaths per 100,000 people annually worldwide by 2100. This is more than the official number of people currently succumbing to all infectious diseases combined. Those most impacted by rising temperatures would be elderly populations and people in tropical and poorer regions. Furthermore, mortalities linked to higher emissions would cost the society nearly US$37 per ton of CO2, and lead to an approximately 3.2% global economic output decline by 2100. The authors urged all policymakers to take action to curb these negative effects of global warming. Many thanks, National Bureau of Economic Research scientists, for the insightful analysis. May world governments take heed of your findings and quickly enact the life-protecting, low-emissions Vegan Law, in Divine wisdom.Seoul government supports Pyongyang’s food security efforts. His Excellency Lee In-Young, the Minister of Unification in Seoul, Korea, has announced a US$10 million donation to the World Food Programme to provide Pyongyang with essential food and nutrition for its citizens. The assistance, which includes 9,000 tons of fortified foods and 3,600 tons of corn, beans and cooking oil, will feed approximately 143,000 children and 31,500 pregnant and nursing women in 60 counties. The government will also spend a further US$2.4 million on turning the Demilitarized Zone across the Korean Peninsula into a cultural space by using facilities in the inter-Korean transit office and remodeling unused guard posts into places for cultural exchanges. Thank you, Your Excellency Lee In-Young, and Seoul for the vital resources and peace-making initiatives. May Korea flourish evermore with unity and joy, in Heavenly goodness.Up next, Spain advances in renewable energy. I credit my brilliance to my compassionate and nourishing way of eating. Be smart and be vegan, like me! I have atidying tip for you. Boost your home organization by folding newly-washed bedding sets, including flat and fitted sheets, and tucking them into their matching pillow cases prior to stowing them away. This will not only save you closet space, but also time searching for matching pieces when you make your bed. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! And thank you for your attention. Here’s the weather around our beautiful globe.Spain to soon host largest green hydrogen plant in Europe. A €150 million hydrogen plant running on 100% renewable energy sources will soon be constructed in former coal-mining town Puertollano, funded by Spain-headquartered multinational electric utility company Iberdrola and fertilizer company Fertiberia. The hydrogen will be generated by 100 megawatts of solar panels, a battery system and an electrolyzer. Once created, the hydrogen will then power the eco-fertilizer plant with an estimated 40,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide being saved each year. Felicitations, Spain, Iberdrola and Fertiberia, on your awesome project generating fertilizers from sunshine. May your initiative be the first of many projects helping our world move quickly towards a fully carbon-neutral future, in God’s light.Survey finds more Australians are giving up alcohol. The National Drug Strategy Household Survey 2019 found that 1.9 million Australians have stopped consuming alcohol – 400,000 more abstainers compared to 2016 survey results. This number is largely driven by young people, with more than 21% of those aged between 18-29 not drinking alcohol, which is more than double the number in 2001. Alcohol researcher and sociologist Dr. Amy Pennay of La Trobe University cites increased global acceptance of individual choices and social reasons such as not liking the effects of alcohol for propelling the non-drinking trend among youth. Older people, on the other hand, are more likely to limit or cease drinking for health reasons, as awareness grows of alcohol’s detrimental effects such as causing cancer and early mortality. Our gratitude, National Drug Strategy Household Survey and Dr. Amy Pennay, for your valuable information. May the shining Australian people continue to treasure their all-round wellbeing, in Divine benevolence.Female soccer player from United Arab Emirates achieves world record. Research by the United Kingdom-based consulting company Kantar revealed that sales of tofu increased by 87.1% during the 12 weeks before June 2020, when lockdown measures were in place. Sales of other vegan products including plant-based ground meat, vegan sausages and animal-free burgers also increased during that time. A survey conducted by the Vegan Society reported that 20% of British citizens reduced their meat consumption during lockdown due to health, animal rights or environmental concerns. Fourteen-year-old Meena Kumar from San Jose, California, donated US$14,000 to non-profit Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, which rescues approximately 1,000 older canines a year. Meena earned half of her donation through over five years’ worth of proceeds from her own dog-sitting home business, Pet Fairy Services. The other half of the contribution came from a matching donation from Intel Corporation, where Meena’s father is employed. Adopted in India when she was two years old, Meena is particularly empathetic towards providing second chances. Encouraging people to adopt senior dogs during this unprecedented time of the pandemic, Meena said, “We need their love more than ever.” God bless you, Meena Kumar, for your kind heart and diligent love in action. In today’s news, United States study finds face masks could save numerous lives from COVID-19, Uganda receives funding for secondary education expansion, consumer demand for clean air vehicles soars in Germany, Indian researchers propose biofuel creation from used personal protective equipment, kind ranger carries overheated dog down mountain, milk purchases drop in Netherlands and Australian government sponsors conservation research on world’s largest green turtle population.Masks could save tens of thousands of lives from coronavirus. Modeling by the United States-based University of Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) has found that if 95% of Americans wore face masks in public starting in early August 2020, then by December 1, 2020, approximately 66,000 lives would be saved. Without this measure, the institute projects nearly 50% more citizens would succumb to COVID-19 by December. IHME Director Dr. Christopher Murray explained that individuals are social distancing and wearing masks as cases increase, but when infection rates drop, people are not as vigilant and stop protecting themselves and others, which leads to more infections. Thank you, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation researchers, for this vital information on mask protection. May we take all necessary steps to safeguard the health of ourselves and others during this challenging time, in God’s mercy.Ugandan secondary education capacity receives boost. To benefit Uganda’s disadvantaged areas, including those districts with refugees, the World Bank has approved US$150 million in funding to build 116 new lower secondary schools and add classrooms to 61 existing schools. The Uganda Secondary Education Expansion Project will benefit approximately 2.5 million students by creating 70,300 new spaces for children, furnishing textbooks and teaching manuals, providing teacher professional development support, and instituting an accelerated learning program for youngsters currently not in school. Our gratitude, World Bank, for this significant assistance to the bright Ugandan students. May the young learners all grow up to become respected citizens and compassionate leaders, in the radiance of the Divine.Up next, consumer demand for clean air vehicles soars in Germany. We’ll take a moment to thank the friendly clerks who run our local convenience stores. We’ll be right back with more thoughtful news on Supreme Master Television.Good day, gentle viewers, it’s me, your cute Kabba the vegan kookaburra; if you think being vegan makes me attractive, you are so right. Well, it’s your turn to try it. Here is a way to help conserve energy in the kitchen. Refrigerators lose cold air whenever their doors are opened, but contrary to popular belief, the electricity consumed to re-cool the fridge afterwards is actually rather little. That’s because the refrigerator’s coldness is mostly held by its contents, not by the air. So, to really save power, simply avoid putting food in your fridge while it’s still hot. Let it cool down first. Thank you for tuning in, and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.German electric vehicle (EV) sales strengthen in 2020. Global consulting firm Strategy& reports that despite its economy being substantially affected by the pandemic, Germany saw a 26% increase year-on-year in new EV registrations for 2020’s second quarter, with new plug-in hybrid registrations alone up 257% for the period. The upswing is attributed to robust buyer interest in the market segment and large subsidies from the German government for electric car purchases to stimulate the economy and lower CO2 emissions from transportation. The government’s goal is for 10 million EVs to be on the road by 2030 to help the nation reduce its carbon footprint as part of its Climate Action Program. Germany is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion and a Shining World Caring Leadership Award laureate. Our appreciation for sharing these encouraging insights, Strategy&, and kudos, Germany, for supporting clean transport. May our world quickly transition to ever greener ways of living, in Heaven’s delight.Study finds personal protective equipment (PPE) convertible into biofuel. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies researchers in Dehradun, India, have unlocked how to convert used PPE into a synthetic fuel. An estimated 200 billion units of single-use masks and gloves have been used monthly since the COVID-19 pandemic’s start, with their disposal highly problematic for the environment. The scientists found that polypropylene-made PPE items, including masks, gloves, gowns, face shields, and goggles, can be altered through a process called pyrolysis that breaks down the material in a thermal reactor at 300 to 400 degrees Celsius and transforms it into liquid fuel. The result can then be used as a biodegradable energy source. Bravo, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies team, for your earth-loving discovery. May you have further success in the exploration of planet-protecting possibilities, in the grace of the Divine.Park ranger carries heat-exhausted dog to safety. During a hike on a steep mountain trail in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area in the United States, a 36-kilogram Akita dog suffered from overheating. His tired caregiver couldn’t transport the canine back to his car and rang for help. Supervisory Park Ranger Kris Salapek quickly came to the rescue and lifted the dog onto his shoulders and brought him to a stream to cool down. Next, he continued to carry the canine for about 2.5 kilometers, taking about an hour to reach the vehicle. The Akita was then immediately driven to a veterinarian by his human companion. Luckily, the sweet dog has made a full recovery. Three cheers, Supervisory Park Ranger Kris Salapek, for your heroic deed of saving the precious Akita! May we all strive to keep our beloved animal companions safe, in Celestial goodness.Coming up, milk purchases fall in Netherlands. We’ll pause now to enjoy some traditional Ahellil poetry and music, a UNESCO-inscribed Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity from the Gourara region of southwest Algeria. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more excellent news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Balanced News for a Stable World.Milk consumption declines in Netherlands. Between 2016 and 2019, milk sales in the Netherlands’ supermarkets decreased by 6% according to data from the United States- headquartered market researchcompany IRI. It is thought that the reduction in such purchases is partly due to the increased availability and options in the plant-based milk category, with sales of such products in Dutch supermarkets climbing from €75 million to €100 million from 2015 to 2019. National demand for readymade milk puddings during the timeframe dropped by 25%, and buttermilk by nearly 8%. Currently, one-third of Dutch households have an animal-free dairy product at home. Thank you, IRI, for highlighting the ongoing growth of the vegan milk market in the Netherlands. May the Dutch people quicken their wise trajectory towards a 100% plant-based future, in the Providence’s gentle guidance.Australia prioritizes green turtle population preservation. The Australian government, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for High Moral Value and Health Guardian laureate, has initiated the US$4.2 million Green Turtle Research and Protection Program to better safeguard the world’s largest population of the species with 60,000 that nest annually on the Great Barrier Reef’s beaches. Warming sand temperatures are causing more females than males to hatch, thus threatening the reptiles’ future. To find solutions, the program’s research components include mapping nesting sites by air, tracking adult male green turtles’ feeding patterns by satellite and testing techniques to cool the nesting beaches to create a normal ratio of female to male hatchlings. Our applause, the Australian government, for your caring project to help nurture the beloved green turtles. May your work lead to more effective methods to ensure a healthy and flourishing population of our lovely green turtle friends, in Heaven’s abundant love.Let us brighten up your day with a good joke entitled “Little Problems.” An elementary school had just installed a new air-conditioning system, and a representative from the company wanted to make sure it was running smoothly. Poking his head into an empty classroom, he asked the teacher:“Any little problems here?”“No. All our little problems have gone home.”And now we have a heartline from Phương Trang and Bình Dương in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam: Dearest Supreme Master Ching Hai! Dear Supreme Master Television team!We are Phương Trang and Bình Dương, middle-school students from Âu Lạc (Vietnam). Five years ago, our mother and we always got sick, having to be admitted to the hospital often. During those times, my mom often wished that people didn’t get sick! And then, her wish came true when she learned about the vegan diet and the perfect teachings of Supreme Master Ching Hai! Four years ago, my mother went to the hospital to remove her gallbladder, and she was determined to be vegan despite the pressure from doctors and relatives who advised her to eat meat. Amazingly, my mother healed quickly and was discharged from the hospital early. Since then, my mother has been healthy. My mother said to us: “I apologize for not being educated to know about veganism, and I didn’t teach you much about what is the right thing to do. Now that I know [what is right], and if I don’t help you to keep being vegan, then I would be at fault!” She then did everything to bring us the best things possible, such as cooking delicious vegan food, reading spiritual books to us, turning on Supreme Master Television, and guiding us to a new way of life to love others, including the animals. We are so grateful to Supreme Master Ching Hai, who gave our mother and us a new life. We promise to be vegan to keep the best things in our life. We pray to You to bless our father to be vegan also so that our whole family can be healthy! We wish You great health and the TV channel to become better every day. Phương Trang and Bình Dương from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)Fortunate Phương Trang and Bình Dương, It was wonderful to read the story about your dear mother. We are so pleased to hear that she has adopted a noble way of living and passed on this precious knowledge, and Master’s teachings, to her children. You are blessed indeed to have such a noble parent. We pray for the continued good health of your whole family. May the brilliant blessings of the Divine be with you and the kind people of Âu Lạc (Vietnam), Supreme Master TV teamP.S. Master said: “Sweethearts Phương Trang and Bình Dương, when we choose vegan, we choose the path of love and saving the world through it. I am happy that you both are following the heroic and compassionate way. Perhaps show your father some Supreme Master Television programs on why being plant-based is our world’s future. It is vital we now change and preserve all animal and human life. Big love to you and all the warm people of Âu Lạc (Vietnam).”We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Refugees who fled the conflict in Syria, as well as Iraqi citizens who left their homes, are among the most vulnerable people in the country. Families that used to depend on finding daywork lost that income with the arrival of COVID-19. The European Union, a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace recipient, and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring laureate, has responded with a contribution of €5 million to help the United Nations World Food Programme provide humanitarian aid for six months. Those in need will receive funds on their mobile phones or registered “e-vouchers” that can be used to buy food at shops in the camps. Our loving appreciation, European Union and World Food Programme! May all who are suffering find solace in the comforting love of Allah.Task force proposes COVID-19 recovery measures. C40 Cities is an international association of mayors committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and climate risks. In response to the coronavirus recession of 2020, the group has formulated steps that leaders can take toward a sustainable recovery for their cities. The plan prioritizes support for essential workers, the creation of new green jobs, access to pure water and healthy food, affordable housing and urban green spaces with paths for walking and cycling. Additionally, the mayors will call on state governments and financial institutions to cease all fossil fuel investments and subsidies. In short, C40 Cities intends to create a ‘new normal’ that is healthier, safer and more sustainable – a better future for everyone. We applaud your enlightened ideals, C40 Cities’ mayors! We pray that your residents will rise to the challenge and help establish a new age of truth, in Celestial oneness.Up next, disadvantaged families receive solar power kits in Benin. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more motivating news.Hallo, kind viewers! I am Beatrice the vegan Beagle! Do you want to know the secret of my good mood? It’s because I eat plant-based food! Here is a helpful tip if you’re new to gardening. Postpone any digging or planting when the ground is obviously wet. If you work with soil while it is saturated, its components – mostly sand, silt and clay – can easily clump together, leaving no space for air. Roots need oxygen! The earth doesn’t have to be completely dry, but it’s better to wait until it crumbles in your hands before using a shovel or trowel. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, weather from around the world.West African homes gain access to electricity. The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is an independent United States foreign assistance agency that strives to reduce poverty in developing countries by supporting economic growth. MCC is partnering with the government of Benin through a US$375 million contract designed to modernize the country’s power sector. One of the goals of the agreement is to fund off-grid electrification for disadvantaged and unserved families. Two companies have been hired to deliver solar kits to at least 5,000 rural households. Greenlight Planet will supply the system components, which will be installed and maintained by African Renewable Energy System and Solution. The families will receive lamps for light, USB ports for charging mobile phones and digital televisions. Our compliments and gratitude, Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Benin government and participating contractors. May your employees and customers be blessed with contented lives, in the light of the Divine.Researchers in Melbourne, Australia, combine rubble and rubber to build better roads. A team of engineers at RMIT University sought ways to make the construction of streets and highways more sustainable. The conventional components of the base layer – just beneath the asphalt paving – are quarried rock and natural sand. Instead, the researchers tried using a mixture of recycled concrete debris and crumbs of rubber from discarded tires. They found that in the right proportion, the blended material has the strength and flexibility to meet safety standards and handle heavy traffic. The team says their alternative approach conserves natural resources, removes waste from the environment and is less likely to crack as it ages. Bravo, RMIT University engineers, for reusing materials that are abundant and not usually recycled. May your innovation soon spread to other countries and facilitate the world’s progress toward a truly circular economy.Governor releases stimulus funds to alleviate homelessness. For a new project called Homekey, California’s Department of Housing and Community Development is distributing US$550 million in federal Coronavirus Relief Fund plus an additional US$50 million from the state’s own coffers. The money will be available to cities and counties who want to convert hotels, motels and other buildings into permanent housing for homeless people. Recently, California Governor, the Honorable Gavin Newsom, a Shining World Leadership Award for Loving Care laureate, announced that applications would be fast-tracked and awarded funds would need to be spent by the end of the year. To expedite the conversion of properties, the governor also approved legislation that provides local governments with automatic zoning compliance and an exemption from environmental reviews. California is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Compassion laureate. God bless you, Governor Gavin Newsom and all involved government officials! With compassionate acts such as yours, may our world soon herald the end of homelessness, in Heaven's mercy.Coming up, London boroughs ban meat at catered council events. Picchio is a conservation and eco-tour center located in the resort town of Karuizawa. The surrounding forests offer an abundance of things that Asian black bears enjoy eating. And yet, it is easy for the animals to wander from their own habitat into areas occupied by humans. To reduce the number of unpleasant encounters, Picchio was authorized to put radio collars on the bears for monitoring their movements. The staff also enlisted the help of several specially trained Karelian Bear dogs, whose barking teaches the wild animals that it is not safe to approach human dwellings. Over the past 20 years, the nonprofit organization’s novel methods have reduced bear sightings in town by 75%. Hats off, Picchio conservationists and dedicated pups, for your efforts to maintain everyone’s safety. In a recent study by the US-based Columbia Center for Children’s Environmental Health, Dr. Frederica Perera and colleagues found a regional emissions cap-and-trade plan for power plants has prevented childhood diseases. Implemented in 2009 by nine Northeastern US states, the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) seeks to lessen mercury, sulfur dioxide and greenhouse gas releases by power generators. The research shows a dramatic reduction in asthma, autism, preterm births, and low birth weight cases among children due to the initiative, thus saving up to US$350 million. Additionally, a 2017 study revealed the program has brought up to US$8.3 billion worth of health benefits to all ages. Great work, Dr. Frederica Perera and team, and thank you, the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, for protecting our precious atmosphere. May all young ones flourish in a world of clean air, surrounded by love, in God’s omniscience.Up next, green energy production soars in Germany. Before washing your vehicle, you should first rinse it using clear water to remove all the dirt and dust. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! And thank you for tuning in. Now the weather around the globe.Germany’s clean energy generation shows unprecedented gains. In the first half of 2020, Germany’s total power supply mix was almost 56% renewables, a new record. Solar and wind sources added a total of 102.9 terawatt-hours to the country’s public electricity grid, an increase of 11.5% from the same period in 2019. The ascent of sustainable energy has been boosted by its continuously expanding capacity, power networks that give it priority dispatch, and favorable weather conditions, including high winds and lots of sunshine. Germany seeks to achieve a power mix with 65% coming from sustainable sources by 2030, and is currently on track to completely abandon nuclear energy and coal. Germany is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion and Shining World Caring Leadership Award laureate. Hats off, Germany! In Divine love, may your progress towards clean power bring inspiration for all countries to follow.Indian start-up makes plates from local trees’ leaves. Vistaraku, founded in 2019 by Madhaviand Venu Vippulancha in Telangana, India, is creating biodegradable plates and bowls from the leaves of a local tree species called the palash. After gathering them from the couple’s 10-hectare farm, five to six young women stitch the leaves together with food-grade cotton thread and starch-based glue, before heat-pressing them with cardboard into the desired shapes. The leaves are naturally antiseptic and antibacterial. Orders for the eco-plates are already being shipped to large Indian cities, the United States, and Germany. Such an amazing idea, Madhavi and Venu Vippulancha, to construct attractive, decomposable, and natural plates and bowls made from the palash tree. How long is it??And now we have a heartline from Noah in Canada: Dear Beloved Master, Thank You for Your unconditional love and sacrifices for so many decades. I would like to share a wonderful inner experience from a non-initiate after meditating for a vegan world. Following Your urgent call, I contacted my non-initiate friends and asked them to meditate and pray together with us on February 9, 2020. After the event, a friend of mine shared her inner experience. She saw numerous people around the world meditating together. There was strong light pouring into her from above, and her body filled with glowing golden light for the first time in her life. She also saw a Buddha’s Land, surrounded by a beautiful sparkling river. In that pure Land, a Mighty Buddha walked from a grand lotus and poured down holy nectar water. Suddenly, the river water level rose up so high and then rained down to the earth clearly to wash every corner. The next day, I saw news of sudden heavy rains in Australia (the heaviest in the past three decades). The rains were so precious because it helped to extinguish all the remaining bushfires that the country has been battling with since September 2019. To my surprise, this is also a vision that my friend saw during the meditation for a vegan world and she had emotions of amazement and happiness due to such news. Dear Beloved Master, once again, we thank You for Your endless noble efforts in taking care of all us, including our loving animal friends and countless generations in the future. We wish You health, peace, happiness, and hope that the world will very soon become vegan! Belgian sustainable building company,Kamp C, has 3D-printed a two-story house in Antwerp, Belgium, using Europe’s largest 3D printer. The 90-square-meter building is styled as a typical Belgium home and contains solar panels, a heat pump, underfloor heating and, in the future, will have a green roof. While this house took three weeks to build, Kamp C believes that the process could be completed in as little as two days. Minimal wire-mesh reinforcement was required due to the high-strength cement-like material used, thus saving 60% on the budget, time and material. The house was created for research purposes and highlights the many potentials of 3D-printed architecture. Bravo, Kamp C team, on your major advances in building technology. In Heaven’s support, may your project help to propel the eco-friendly building methods of the future into the now.Thoughtful teenager runs his first marathon to raise money for his local hospital. A report by the UK commercial law firm EMW has revealed that 107 vegan trademarks were registered in the UK in 2019, which is an increase from 47 in 2018. The United Nations, a Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Award laureate, has granted a sanctions waiver that will allow the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to assist the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in treating malaria and tuberculosis. This support is worth nearly US$760,000, and will include necessary and essential medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, patient ventilators, and resuscitation kits. In hopes of reducing the impact of COVID-19 on malaria and tuberculosis patients, the waiver will be in effect until July 2021. Researchers at University College London in the United Kingdom have found that the likelihood for animals to carry disease-causing pathogens increases when habitats have been disrupted and occupied by humans. The study, published in the science journal Nature, analyzed 184 current and existing studies of 6,801 ecological communities on six continents. It found that human disturbance of wild ecosystems often eliminated larger species, thereby enabling the survival of the smaller, adaptable species, which tend to harbor more pathogens that can be passed to humans. The scientists stated that dangerous interactions “between people, livestock and wildlife reservoirs of zoonotic disease” are being created by worldwide changes in wild land being converted into intensive farmlands and urban areas. Thank you, University College London researchers, for the valuable information. In Divine benediction, we pray for the protection of our world’s natural environments, first and foremost through the end of animal livestock raising, to prevent future epidemics and ensure harmony among all species.Up next, adoption of emissions-free trucks to accelerate in United States.
