The Honorable Jared Polis has proclaimed March 20, 2021, as “MeatOut Day” to promote a plant-based diet to his state’s citizens. MeatOut Day was started by the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) in 1985 as a way to inform people of the benefits of avoiding meat.
Governor Polis’s long-term partner, also known as Colorado’s first gentleman, Marlon Reis has been vegan for over 15 years and is a dedicated animal rights activist, who is also working hard to help bring the important topic of animal welfare to the American public’s attention. Colorado is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Bravo, and thank you, Governor Jared Polis and Marlon Reis.
We pray that your official support of a plant-based diet further leads the way to the whole world adopting the compassionate, planet-saving, vegan lifestyle. May you both be forever blessed by the Providence.
