And when a sincere person, he recognize this teacher is good, he will know. Not because of what the Master looks like or what the Master talks; but your feeling, your wisdom inside. Yes. So, the dead person is the one who wears a kind of transparent clothes. Transparent means, because it’s invisible to our physical eyes. That doesn’t mean they don’t have a figure, a being. So,the Quan Yin Bodhisattva will help both. Because, to the Buddha or the Bodhisattva, there is no discrimination between the dead or the living. It depends whether they have affinity with Quan Yin Bodhisattva. But to have the living, is better than to have the dead being. Because in the physical body, we can change the future better. We have the instrument like the brain. For the person outside the car, it’s difficult. Understand?

All go to the soul. What’s important is the Master. Whenever you remember the Master, He will send, if the Master is a very highly developed person, highly realized person, He can send energy, to help you to meditate. If we know the human brain completely (How to work). Then we can discover also spiritual aspect.(Yes.) There is something that makes the brain function. And that something is what the Buddhists call Buddha Nature. It’s not the physical brain really. It is something hidden within the physical apparatus.

The Five Virtues of Confucianism, Part 5 of 5, Feb 02, 2019

The Five Virtues of Confucianism, Part 5 of 5, Feb 02, 2019

Sakyamuni Buddha practiced so hard to become a Buddha only because He wanted to help sentient beings. Left after life, He was also reborn as animals, humans and heavenly beings to have affinity with them. So that He could help them after He became a Buddha. So, we practice spiritually to attain wisdom. There is power within the wisdom. Without the true inner wisdom, there is no inner power. This wisdom also includes the inner power, the spiritual power and our innate power. Therefore, wisdom is also included in benevolence.

Showing courtesy to people is always good for us. People would respect us. So it’s also a kind of charity to treat people nicely and politely. Sharing a happy atmosphere is also benevolence. Treat people nicely to cheer them up. Let them laugh joyously amid this suffocating life and become more cheerful. This is also a kind of benevolence. No wonder Confucius was so enlightened. He put benevolence as number one. If we have no benevolence, the other qualities will not develop. In fact, benevolence alone is sufficient.

We have to be grateful not only to the living, but also the deceased. Spiritual practitioners, such as Quan Yin practitioners, are the most grateful and righteous. Because if we practice, our 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 generations would be elevated. If we practice well, if we have faith and practice diligently, of course all our ancestors would be elevated. We are the most grateful, not just benevolent; we are truly filial to our ancestors. We are grateful to benefactors and we repay them all. We also have enough power to repay them.

So a person who is vegan, practices spiritually and meditates is definitely a peaceful citizen. All governments should encourage their citizens to be vegan, Right? You see, it’s only one word – benevolence, and Confucius has taught us so much. Of course benevolence should include love for animals. To love those who are weaker is to be benevolent, isn’t it? You not only love those who are the same as you. If a country is already peaceful, then the neighboring country could learn from its example and have a good relationship with it. Then they would not make war against each others.

Therefore, don’t buy products that contain honey for me. It’s not that I’m not appreciative. I appreciate you try to take care of me, even on minor details. It’s just that I don’t want to hurt others because of taking care of myself. In this way, we have real benevolence. If we’re benevolent, we should do it thoroughly. We should protect even small animals and insects. For example, if you see insects fall to the ground on the road, you quietly use the withered leaves to carry to the roadside, where there is grass and flowers so that they can have food to eat there. OK? For bees, it’s better not to move or touch them.

The Benefit of Spiritual Practice, Part 5 of 5 #159K, April 07, 1991

What is God? God is the Truth, the Omnipotence of the universe, the infinitely miraculous Wisdom, the boundless and immeasurable Love. The human realm is the easiest one for a human being to become a Buddha. During initiation, at the first second, you will understand why only human beings can practice to become Buddha. “Immediate Enlightenment.” And you will understand what you never understood before. Why then does our world keep having more and more people? They were from other worlds, from hell, from plants, from stones, from animals; they became human beings. Or from other planets, who had merits, so they could come here to be human beings.

The Quan Yin Method which you asked me to tell you is to let people know their Buddha Nature. It will wake-up the Buddha inside you to manage your life, therefore your life becomes good and smooth. You don't use your worldly mind to work anymore. And I also told you that the Dharma (true teaching) which I know, is very peaceful but very noble. It can save human from life after life of misfortune and misery. It can also save five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten of your generations so they can be elevated. It can make the world brighter each day.

We imitate the Buddha’s wisdom in the invisible world when we are near that invisible wisdom which emanates from a person who has attained enlightenment. For that reason, even though Shakyamuni Buddha was a prince, even though He had the supreme authority in that country, even though His prestige had spreaded to all directions, He still begged for alms, using that as a means to enlighten the poor, the suffering, those who had little merit and affinity, those who could not believe the Dharma right away when they heard it, those who could not go to the Buddha to learn the Tao. So the Buddha had to go there, using the invisible, boundless power of the Buddha to influence the invisible wisdom, the Buddha Nature of the opposite person.

Always Keep Pure and Positive. We have to be very careful how we live our lives because everything we think generates something. Every time you think negatively about someone, is that comfortable for you? No. Already it's no good. But it's very easy to keep ourselves in control. Just look straight inside, recite the Holy Names and pray every time that the Master will help you and will help give you loving thoughts right away or replace the bad ones with loving ones.

Some Small Secrets to Share: Selection from Supreme Master Ching Hai's Book ”Secrets to Effortless Spiritual Practice,” Part 1 of 2

Today we share with you the wise teachings of Supreme Master Ching Hai, with excerpts from the section “Some Small Secrets to Share” in the book “Secrets to Effortless Spiritual Practice.” She offers many helpful tips derived from Her personal experiences. These serve as practical and effective tools to assist spiritual seekers in pursuing the path to eternal liberation and self-mastery. Sometimes you might feel you haven’t made any progress in your spiritual practice, and that it seems like a waste of time. Do you know why? Spiritual practice includes our body, speech and mind. If any of them lag behind, the other two can’t move along. All three have to be balanced and coordinated in order for you to make progress in your spiritual practice. We ourselves create all our breakdowns. When we’re angry, we generate a very dense and unpleasant magnetic field. This thick, dark and unpleasant field covers us like a barrier and keeps us from our goodness.

The realm of the Avatamsaka, the realm of the Amitabha Buddha, can still be described. Some other realms are indescribable. This is the true Dharma eye. Just don’t be attached to it. We don’t have to change our situation, we just need to change from within.“Blessing power” is when an enlightened spiritual practitioner has unlimited merit, then when He looks at anyone, that person will receive unlimited blessings. Whoever He touches is guaranteed to be liberated. Whoever is initiated by Him is sure to become enlightened.

For us Quan Yin practitioners, at the moment of initiation, all the bad karma (retribution) created life after life is completely erased. It is because the past bad karma (retribution) is completely erased that we can have Buddha's Light and enlightenment experience, that we can listen to our true Self, that we can hear the inner (Heavenly) Sound, the voiceless Sound, which is a very beautiful, inconceivable inner Music that we have never heard before. After hearing it, our body becomes very relaxed, we feel that our bad karma (retribution) is gone, and we are truly very blissful.

We don’t compromise our choice for one or two friends and use that as an excuse. I’m telling you, when you die, no friend can come to help you. At that time, no one will come to speak for you, “Oh, the King of Hell, please have mercy on my friend. He drank wine and ate meat for my sake. Punish me instead and keep me in hell if you need to. Please let him go.” Will anyone say that for you? No. Therefore, we should not make excuse. Find reasons for spiritual cultivation, don’t make excuses for not doing it.

Since ancient times, all enlightened Masters have promised us this. They came down here for this purpose only: to help people get immediate enlightenment and be liberated in one lifetime. They have no other mission. These are the true Masters. The one who has attained the Truth can transmit this enlightenment to other people, we call him a true Master. We, who have taken monastic vows, only have one mission in life: that is spiritual cultivation. If we are Pure Land master, we should recite, “Namo Amitabha Buddha.” If we are Tibetan masters, we should recite “Om Mani Padme Hum”

God is all merciful and compassionate. How do You explain earthquakes, tidal waves, etc.? Your views on reincarnation, worship of ancestors, its benefits, the law of karma, cause and effect, and what do You say is the common thread that could unite all religions? How do we rid ourselves of our ego? Is there such a thing as evil spirits? How can I be and lead a spiritual life coming from a very formal religious Islamic background? How do I know what God expects of me, so as for me to practice and master those requirements? Can Master please explain to me who or what is the source of Her inspiration?

Death should be celebrated, not mourned because that is our final liberation. We will know everything. We will be into everything. We will be everywhere in a fraction of a second. We will have everything that we wish for come true immediately. But in order to prepare for a higher reward than just this, we should learn the art of mastery of our own destiny, of our own future, create our own Heaven, prepare our own future. Because we are the master. We are the children of the Ocean of Love, of God. We have dignity; we should walk like a God, we should act like a God, we should think like a God.
