A Sincere Heart Can Change One's Karma (Part 1 of 3) July 11, 2013

You’re lucky to be alive, to be left alone to do your job. Not that we need any land or anything. It’s just nicer to have a place, stable, where we don’t need visa, where we don’t need to put up all our properties to guarantee our return to native land. And then we can freely maybe live together and contribute to the world in different ways, in the free way. Today, we have freedom, free world and all that, but we don’t have a world. Not that free. So that’s why you have to come all this way, and always have to spend money and time, and rushing to the airport, and rushing to catch the bus or the taxi or airplane. Even with all the hardship that you have to go through with visa and with arrangements for job and family and everything. Thank you for loving me so much. Thank you. I hope my love is good enough for you because I also do love you. Each one of you tells me, many people told me that she or he thinks that I love him or her alone. Is that correct? (Exactly. Yes.) Yeah? Exactly? Okay. Then it’s good. That means you are happy, you’re satisfied, and you feel contented that I don’t neglect you or abandon you, only love him better because he’s handsome, and loving him because he’s older. It’s not like that. Each one of you feel the same, right? (Yes.) Feel like I love you alone. (Yes.) At least very much and… (Yes, very much. Just only.) Only! Individually. And at least enough. (Yes.) Because in the family, sometimes parents have like two or three kids, and sometimes one feels like the parents love the other kid more than him or herself. Is that true? (Yes.) So how come you, so many multi-thousands think that I love you alone? Isn’t that funny, huh? But that’s how you feel, right, all of you? (Yes.) Anybody feel I don’t love you? (No!) If you feel that way, I’m sorry for you because you’re stupid. No matter how many of you, I love you all the same. Even if sometimes I scold you, I still love you all the same. Just scold your ignorance, not you, okay?

If We Are Virtuous, We Attract Blessings (Part 3 of 3) July 23, 2013

(And the artists, during the rehearsal, Master, they loved it so much and they enjoyed so much that they told us like, “You know, this is not like working for us. It’s like fun every day. I wish my work is like this all the time.”) Because we treat them well. (Yes.) And they feel the love and the good energy. That’s where and what people should work with. But unfortunately in this world, not every place is like that. Mostly just business-like. (And the artists, they really performed out of love, Master, because the fees we offered is very symbolic. Everyone who was there was so surprised that vegan food was so yummy.) If you cook nice, of course. Yeah? (But I think most important is your love. It’s like they all melted.) Oh, really? They must have been very sensitive also. Artists, they are very sensitive. So they feel it. They have to be sensitive in order to express whatever they want to express in their performance. Have to be real. So their souls are very sensitive. That’s why they can feel the love. Not everybody can. But they are good. They’re good people. (I think the whole show went through so smoothly. So many angels that escorted every single one there. It’s just amazing, Master.) To protect also, to help them. Otherwise, the negative power would attack them so much that they probably couldn’t do it. Or they give up or they don’t want to, or they change at the end, or… It’s very difficult to do the work of God. Sometimes if you think of other people, the negative people, then the connection is there. But of course, in life, you cannot always avoid to think of somebody. Because you don’t even know they are negative. And you think of that person, and if that person is negative, I mean not very good or low level, then the negative power can use that person in your thought to trouble you. That’s how it works. It’s very terrible to be able to survive in this world, on the physical level. It’s not that easy. Even practitioners sometimes get swayed and swing because of the negative power, because of the people you think of, or the people you contact, or the people you sit next to, or the people in your family even. Through them, the maya (negative force) can make trouble. The negative power can make trouble, even if you think of. But it depends. If you do some important work, then they are more after you. So if you are just an ordinary person and you think of somebody, then you just share some bad karma (retribution), but not as bad. It’s already very protected there, you see. (Yes.) Or else it couldn’t have happened so good in such a short time. (Thank you, Master.) But they were so happy, huh? Because they didn’t come for money. They could have it anywhere else. Because just they love us. They think we are good. They think we are doing good for the world so they want to participate in this goodness. Because their heart is so good. That’s why. That’s why. That’s why we had to write everybody a letter and thank them. Remember? (Yes.) If you ever see any of them again, tell them I give them my best regards, my love, and I appreciate what they did for the world.

If We Are Virtuous, We Attract Blessings (Part 2 of 3) July 23, 2013

“Not all the time, rarely, of course. Thanks for that. I don’t really want to scold. But sometimes, for example, I say it sweetly, they don’t do it. And I have to say, ‘Do it now!’ Then they run. It’s funny. It’s funny. When you keep telling them sweetly, they don’t do it. Then you have to take action to tell them that you are serious, and it’s time to take action, the right action. Because sometimes, if you’re working for the public, then you have to be more disciplined. If you just sit there or come here for retreat, then you do what you want. But just don’t talk a lot, of course concentrate, yeah? But if you are working, you have to be like a team. Move together like a team. Stop like a team, so that things will go smoothly and not waste a lot of time and no conflicting in between. That’s all. And sometimes they don’t listen, then I have to really take action. ‘Now!’ ‘I mean it!’ ‘Look!’ Because nobody’s scared of me, that’s why I have to look scary a little bit sometimes.” “So, even I myself have problems with myself. How would you not have problems with the other person? Stranger, you know? Complete stranger came in your life, and then just said one word, ‘Love!’ and then that’s it. Everything started. Trouble, trouble. Sometimes happy, sometimes suffering. Just because of that word, one word only. Don’t ever listen to that word, okay? Except here. When we say, ‘We love each other,’ we really mean it. The others, outside, it’s sometimes just one of those words. That word is supposed to make us happy and make things rosy and complete, but not always. And if you have to stick with that word all your life, then you have to have a lot of patience, perseverance, and truly like to hold on.” “I don’t want to offend anyone, but sometimes if you meditate on a lower chakra, or if not enough power to protect, or not aiming to go to the top, then the lower guardians or lower gods and goddesses want to keep you there. But you will go through. Promise. If you have a little headache, then you don’t do it. You stand up, do some exercises, some yoga, drink a glass of cold water. And then put on the tape, chanting tape, listen. Just relax. Just listen to chanting tape and don’t think about anything, and then slowly you will go into samadhi (deep meditative state) again. And then you will break through. You have to always be grateful to your past guru. Your master has taught you everything that he can and gave you all the power that he has. And you tell the gods and goddesses that, where they keep you, say, ‘Please, I really want to know Almighty God. I thank you for all your love and your company, but I really want to go up.’ Okay? All right. And then they will let you. Recite the Five Names. Tell them, ‘Please, let me go.’”

If We Are Virtuous, We Attract Blessings (Part 1 of 3) July 23, 2013

“It’s your faith and your perseverance also, and your sincerity that makes it attract, muster this kind of quality power. (Thank you.) If we are positive, we attract positive power. If we are virtuous, morally correct, we attract this kind of people and attract blessing. But sometimes, we do a lot of good things nowadays because we know it’s a good thing to do, but we still have difficulties. It’s because our present karma (retribution) doesn’t allow us to have this. Because we have chosen to have this kind of situation. For some reason. Maybe to clean ourselves or to elevate our spiritual standard, or to help other people, to share the karma (retribution). It’s just like, for example, Jesus or Prophet Muhammad or Buddha, they did nothing wrong ever, but they always had trouble. So it’s not always black and white. But averagely speaking, if you’re a spiritual practitioner with the Quan Yin Method, and you really stick to your moral standard and you diligently practice, then everything will go well. But sometimes, also, you have to share the karma (retribution) with the country where you live and the people you are with. All kinds of things that influence our spiritual practice. But if your faith is strong, always you win at the end. At the end, there is always something for you to laugh, to smile at.”“I’ve told you that you don’t have to change anything, except change your heart. And change your direction. The idols can’t give us too much. We have to be the one. (Yes, Master.) Thank you very much, Master. But all this time, probably they have helped you, mentally. In times of trouble, you turned to them. Even though they didn’t answer you or anything, but you felt like you had something. So thank them. And maybe give it to someone who still needs them. (Yes, Master.) Or give it to the temple, Hindu temple. (Yes.) Some people still need them. Okay? (Yes, Master. Thank you very much.)(Master, before knowing you, I didn’t have the desire to even live. But thanks to you, I’m alive and I have the desir e to continue.) Continue, please! Forever! Life is worth living. Okay? Unless you’ve done your job here. Then God wants you to go, then you go. Don’t try to take it before. Don’t try to run away from your responsibility. A lot of people still need you. Even if you don’t want to live because you don’t care about whether or not to live or die, but some others can need you. See? You can spread the dharma (true teaching), can tell people to be good, to be vegetarian (vegan), to remind people to remember God. See? (Thank you very much, Master.) We have a lot of good use for this body yet, so we can’t just cut it. Okay? Don’t ever do that again!”

Buddhist Stories: “500 Beggars” August 17, 2015

All these stories are for you to practice, to remember, to encourage you to meditate. You must remember all that, and you must continue reading, listening, so that at home, you keep yourself in the same path, in the straight area. Keep your mind clean and determined. Don’t forget the example of the ancient practitioners. Don’t forget your vow.

Be a Farmer and Naturally Feel Happy (Part 3 of 3) June 30, 2013

Be a Farmer and Naturally Feel Happy (Part 3 of 3) June 30, 2013

New thing because it’s so powerful. The level is called Eternal Love. There was always a group of three together. No matter in which place. It doesn’t have in only one place. Maybe in one house, it has two places. It had a trio like that. One is the highest level up to now. One is called Eternal Love, the other is called Eternal Life, and the other one is called Almighty Power. That’s why it’s so strong. I don’t know if any other is stronger than Almighty Power. And I could just stay there forever. I don’t feel hungry, I don’t feel thirsty, I don’t feel tired. I don’t feel anything but just nice. Even the mind feels nice, because the soul is infusing all this energy from highest level down. Very, very comfortable. But still, I still jump back to other lower levels, because for peace, and for Karmic Immunity or Annulation. So, now and then, it’s not like, okay, I found the highest level and I always stay there. No, no, I come down also, for different reasons like for Disaster Minimizing or for what they call this Nutrition Reorientation Level. In that place, you can try to influence people to become vegetarian. Only try. You can’t interfere with people’s free will. Can only offer the power to cleanse you and to facilitate you, if you want to. Easier. And there are also other levels like Regain Love or Love Return. Also some kind of level like Healing Power, so that the people who pray, they can pray to God, but God doesn’t bring the power here. It is a physical person that can assimilate the power from God and distribute it here into the world. So, if a person is very suffering and he prays to the God power, then he can be tuned in to this power that I brought down. And then he gets healed quicker. Or easier. Or if, for example, I pray for a person, say I pray for her, then it’s quicker. If it’s not his time to go, of course. Lessens the suffering and quickens the healing process. The power is available, and I have to keep bringing more and more in, so that everyone can use it. If they’re sincere enough, they can tune in. They don’t have to know who I am and they don’t have to pray to Master Ching Hai, nothing. Because it’s a universal language. I brought it there just for everybody, so they don’t have to know me. It’s available.

Be a Farmer and Naturally Feel Happy (Part 2 of 3) June 30, 2013

Be a Farmer and Naturally Feel Happy (Part 2 of 3) June 30, 2013

“It’s lucky if you can plant your own things. You’re really lucky. It’s healthier. Yes? And you feel more like a sense of accomplishment. It’s just happiness. I know that for sure. Another thing is, don’t bother living in such a big house. Paying a lot of mortgage and insurance and all that. So, if you think you could try, then just a small wood house, ready-made wood house, or a cave. Very happy, easy to clean. How much do you need, accumulate all these things in the garage and never use them. Just a small house, that’s all you need.” “You can measure it by the Sound. It’s more accurate than the Light. Because the Sound, the mind can hear from afar. The Light is flickering, you see? It cannot be brought into this world. But the Sound can. You see, that’s why even if you’re on Fifth Level, you listen to the Fifth Level Sound, but you are still here, very consciously alive. That’s why we rely on the Sound. That’s why in the Buddhist sutra, the Buddha even said that all the saints, the Bodhisattvas (spiritual practitioners), the Buddhas rely on the Sound to come here to help the world, and rely on that Sound to go back to where they belong. The Buddha’s land. Heaven. Okay? Even Buddha has to rely on the Sound.” “Just have to really have your heart longing for knowing God or wanting to know Heaven. So sometimes when I found some next level, higher level, I rush, I run to there. Even it was midday sun in summer, I forgot to take the hat, I didn’t care. I just sat there, let it burn. Because I didn’t know if next minute I’m still alive to be able to sit there. So, just you have to have passion about it. Maybe that’s why they call it ‘The Passion of Christ.’ I don’t know, I can’t teach you, I can’t tell you what it is. You just like it or you don’t like it. It’s something very natural to me… at the human level, to tell you. Otherwise, there’s nothing to explain at all. So (doing) meditation intensively is also an experience. Because like that, you also know that you really want it. Otherwise, you would first try to protect yourself, or go buy a mosquito net first and then go sit there. But I can’t wait sometimes. I can’t wait, because I know if I don’t finish this level, I can’t go to the next. Or maybe if I don’t finish this level, tomorrow the higher level comes and then I do only half of this. You see what I mean? So I just have to do it whenever. Sometimes I forego food. Even though I love to eat sometimes to have like a break, like a pause. I just forego sleep, forego anything, anything, anything. That’s how you get higher and higher. But sometimes the reward comes so overwhelmingly. Even for me, I feel also too happy, you know?”

Be a Farmer and Naturally Feel Happy (Part 1 of 3) June 30, 2013

Dry beans of all kinds. Very easy to plant. If your garden has those metal fences with the holes, all you do is just clean a little bit around the fence, next to the fence, put your finger in it, and put the beans. And it will grow. (Oh really?) Yeah. It will crawl on the fence, and you can’t eat enough of it. You might have to give it to the neighbor because there will be a lot. So easy. And beans have enough protein and are easy to plant. And after you eat it all, you replant anew. A bag of beans is only fifty cents or something. You can plant it and you eat it like many months. And full of protein. And fresh, and organic, because you plant it yourself. When I did it, I did not need any fertilizer, nothing. They grow so easy and quick. And these things, I don’t ever see the worms eat them. They don’t eat them. And there are some kinds of salad (lettuce) or greens, it’s very easy. Instead of planting the grass in your garden, you just loosen the earth and then sprinkle these salad seeds on it, and sprinkle again with earth on top. And just leave it there. Before you know it, oh, salad coming. All kinds of things, very easy to plant in different seasons. When you buy the packet they sell you, the best in your country is to plant from what month to what month. So every different season, you have different food. It’s self-sufficient and it’s very nice to eat your own food. If have land, plant vegetables, salad.Oh, so nice to do it. So nice. And when you eat them, it feels different than the ones you buy in the market. Sweeter, crunchier, and you just feel so good. So connected with nature. Please, remember. Be a farmer. Farmer, farmer, farmers. Have fun, okay? Instead of spending your time thinking nonsense sometimes, or feeling sad about something, just go and plant a pot of flowers, fruits, vegetables. Spend your energy on something conducive, and then you’ll feel happy. We are made from earth and water anyway. So if you are in contact with earth and water, that also makes you feel like you are in your element. You naturally feel happy. That’s why the research, I told you already, the research has found out that the most happily married couples are the farmers. They work together every day and they watch their things grow. And they eat from their own food, from their own labor. Must be a very happy life, so contented. And also because they work in the sun all the time, in the fresh air. Sun makes you happy. Fresh air makes you healthy. And then you bend up and down, you’re digging here and there. It’s like exercise. So it’s all this combined together, no wonder they’re happy. And when they’re happy, their marriage lasts long.

Challenges Train Us to Be More Enduring and Humble (Part 2 of 2) August 4-5, 2013

In the West, they researched and found that farmer couples are the happiest couples. Because the farmers can enjoy the fresh air. The outside air is always fresh. And also the sun. You know already. Blessings. “Yellow skin” becomes “lead skin” (sounds like “blessings”)! The sun has tremendous blessing power. You know already.Farming is very good already. Building houses also gains a lot of merit. Those are meritorious professions. It means we protect other people. Farmers have a lot of merits. People who build houses also have merits. People who weave cloth, sell cloth, make clothes, all have merits. These are good professions. It is part of Buddhism’s Eightfold Path. It means those professions are ethical, commendable, meritorious; they bring us prosperity and also blessings, not just earning us money. The Bible also said that, coming down here, we should be farmers. The Bible said it very clearly. We grow our own food. I think there is a group which also belongs to Christianity. They’re called the Amish. They are all farmers. They live in their own community. They plow their land and grow their own food to eat. They don’t go elsewhere to do any other jobs. They stay together in a group, work in the field as farmers together. Their children also follow the same profession. Coming down here working like that, they are very happy and harmonious. Therefore, if you go home and feel tired of the dusty city, then buy a small piece of land somewhere. Then you do farming. Husband and wife can grow enough food to eat. Farmers are never short of food. Only the consumers are afraid of not having food. So, sometimes, it is just our own conception. If we think it’s suffering, then we suffer. If we think it’s not suffering, then we don’t suffer. (Yes.)I also respect the laborers very much. I told you already. Sometimes, I run after the garbage collectors to give them (vegan) cookies, gifts, and money. On the Lunar New Year, I give them money, red envelopes. On regular days, I give them (vegan) cookies. And those who come to work, to repair the house, to repair the cave for me, I cook for them kindly. I bake (vegan) cakes for them. I bring tea to them. I show them I truly love and respect them. Because without them, we would have no house to live in, no rice to eat, no clothes to wear… The streets would be full of garbage, for example. And if there were no auto mechanics, we’d be walking every time. The laborers, with dirty feet, muddy hands, and dripping sweat, are the backbones of the nation, and of the world. So you should respect them.

Challenges Train Us to Be More Enduring and Humble (Part 1 of 2) August 4-5, 2013

It’s not the political system only. It’s the bad karma (retribution), the collective bad karma of the people. Everybody has to grow up. And then the system will change. You see China has changed a lot. Âu Lạc (Vietnam) has changed a lot. Many countries changed a lot. All the Europeans became united. They used to fight and kill each other before. Just some ten years ago. And now they are friends. They use one single currency. They have one single parliament. One president takes turns every six months. That is a miracle. These used to be enemies. The European countries used to fight each other. And the Americans also fought the Europeans, to “liberate” some country. Now Americans also are friends with the Europeans. Maybe not friends friends friends, like you and I, but they don’t fight each other. They don’t kill each other anymore. Very good things are happening. And Sri Lankans also don’t fight, don’t kill each other anymore. Oh, I could go on and on. Âu Lạc (Vietnam) also doesn’t fight anymore. Africa is good. Africans, South Sudan and North Sudan, it’s still a little scratchy, but not so bad. And Ivory Coast. Oh, many, many countries. So look at this progress. It is slow and not as perfect as we want, but it’s getting better. So many countries. Many war-torn countries before have become peaceful and rebuilding their countries. If only they became all vegan, then peace will be, okay, quick! But like this, it is slow.We can’t always complain about the government or the system. This is good as it is, and then it will improve. But of course, it would be better if the leaders themselves try, at least, to be a better example. And then, he or she might inspire the whole nation to become better. All we can do is just pray, meditate more and spread the positive news, hoping more and more people will join, at least vegan, or practice some meditation, be good. Then the atmosphere of the world will change. And then the governments will change. Otherwise, we cannot change it. And I can only pray so that one day everybody becomes better, including the police and the government. So that people are free to live in dignity like a human and can freely voice what they want to voice. And the government should listen. Right or wrong, they should listen.

Always Spread More Love (Part 2 of 2) July 2, 2013

“And if you plant tomatoes, when they are ripe, sometimes it’s so easy to take off. You just touch it and then it comes out. And you thank the tree for it, okay? And if you have peppermints or herbs, then you just take it without the head, and you also thank them. You cut two-thirds of it. Don't just nip it or strip it down. They will feel (it’s) too violent. They will feel sad or scared. Tell them before, ‘Can I have some of your beautiful things?’ ‘Thank you.’ And then take some. And do it with loving kindness, and thankfulness. Still better than not, no? And if you have like a banana or something, you don't take the whole thing down. You just take whatever is ripe, and cut it and leave some left. Same with other fruits, and remember to ask for permission. Remember to thank sincerely at the end. Okay? To ask for permission is also to warn them that you’re going to take something. ‘Could you please withdraw your spirit from that part?’ Then they’ll be okay. They won’t feel that sad because they know you’re worthy, and they’re happy to contribute.” “Most people only like to share the joy, but don’t share the sorrow. (Yes.) No people would like to come and listen to them talk. Even if you don’t bring anything, but you bring your love and you lend your ears and your arms, they will be very much more comforted. (Yes.) That’s the point, that’s the point. When disaster comes, everybody needs. Rich or poor, anybody. You never know. They need love also, you see? (Yes.) Most important. Especially in that situation. They also need some food, some water to drink for the immediate need, and then later, they will get by. When you go in such an area, by yourself, you can see how people are so appreciative, and then you can feel closer to fellow beings. Your heart will be more open, and your compassion will grow. Not just the money and the things that we give. It’s for you to grow. (Very happy too.) The firsthand experience, it will touch your heart forever because you were there, you see how things are damaged and how people suffer. And you feel very sorry for them. Your heart will open with love, and that’s the energy that’s needed to counterbalance the negative things that have happened to them. You bring positive power. You bring love into the area that they need it most, at that time. No matter what (bad) karma they did, no matter if they deserved trouble or not, you always bring love and comfort. That’s important, for you also, not just for them. Very good. For our world together. Always spread more love, then the world will become a better and better place. Energy, good energy, you see? Happy and loving energy is needed.”

Always Spread More Love (Part 1 of 2) July 2, 2013

It’s a problem when we have a lot of big ego. Then we do things wrong. We just want to do it the way that profit us, or whatever the way we think, and don’t consider anybody else or anything else, then we do wrong. (Yes.) Should use intelligence, but the ego clouds it all. Even people have intelligence, if they have ego, they become less intelligent. If the ego is too high, then the level is too low. That is definitely like that. It’s never an exception that you have a lot of ego and then high level at the same time. No. I have seen that. I have seen that. If their positive power is very low already and their ego is high, even though they’re positive, but low, like the border, then the negative power still can influence them. Maybe not 24 hours, but whenever they want or whenever the opportunity arises to hinder their practice. But you’re talking to the ego is like talking to the dead bamboo here. That’s the thing. They don’t even think they have ego, that’s the problem. But even if you have ego, you have to pray, you pray to Heaven, pray to all the gods and goddesses, your protectors, the Master Power, “Please help me to erase the ego.” “Please help me to be more humble, more selfless.” Not because want to go high maybe, but it’s a nice thing to be selfless and to be humble. Because then everybody will like you. And when everybody likes you, that means there’s a happy atmosphere. When we have a happy atmosphere, everything goes smoothly for everybody. And they have no thorn in their heart because of your presence, because of your wrongdoing, because of your argumentative attitude, or because of your pushy mentality. So that’s also a service to humankind and to all beings if we are more selfless and egoless. I even check myself all the time. I say, “Do I still have ego?” I ask. Now and then, I check to make sure. And I say to Heaven, “If I ever do harm to any being by anything accidentally or not, please compensate for them.” “Take it out from my spiritual merit bank account, and give it to them according to their earning and plus over.” We have to always humbly, introvertly be checking ourselves, whether it is really from ego or not. Of course, sometimes it’s from the karma and all that. But the ego also is a very bad thing to have around, bad for everybody, not just for you. It’s really a block in your spiritual progress and a thorn in the feet of everybody else around. It causes a lot of damage, causes a lot of trouble.

Buddhist Stories: “The Monk With The Golden Coin” (Part 2 of 2) August 26, 2015

“Obeisance to the World Honored One. Bhiksu Celestial Flower in the former life did what kind of virtuous deed or merit, so that even when he was born, there were flowers from the sky, flying down, making offering to him to celebrate his birth? And then when he wanted to make offering to the Buddha, all kinds of beds, and seats, and beautiful jewels, furniture appeared, and even delicious food, delicacies appeared, without anybody doing anything. So please, could you please tell us?” So, the Buddha said, “Yes, Ananda, listen. Long, long, long time ago, at that time, there was a Buddha named Vipasyin.” That must be 91, probably something like that, 91 eons before. “He came into this world to save sentient beings. Most often, he always went into the village or city, to preach to the citizens, to the followers, to the people. And then at that time, many noble families, and rich families, and many people always made offering to him and his monks. There was a person, very, very poor, seeing that everybody made offering to the Buddha in such a respectful and sincere manner, he also felt very happy for them. But then he himself felt very sad, because he had nothing to offer to the Buddha to sow some merits for the future. So he saw the Buddha coming toward him. So he went out to the field next to it, and plucked some of these wild grassy flowers. And he kind of spread them, threw them onto the sangha when they passed by. And then he left. Ananda, the poor person who offered wild flowers that time is bhiksu Celestial Flower now. Because in that past life, he was praying for merit, and he was very sincere when he offered the wild flowers to the Buddha and the sangha. Therefore, from that time until now, 91 eons have passed. This merit led him to be born, in every world he was born, he was always beautiful looking. Whatever he needed was always there for him.”Finally, the main point is to sow affinity with the Buddha, so sooner or later another Buddha would come. And then they probably follow that Buddha, and become enlightened, become Arhat, become liberated. That’s the main point at the end. Yeah, not just rich and famous for 91 eons. It’s just more at the end, enlightenment. Because affinity already sowed the seed, and it will grow, grow, grow, and in time, one becomes enlightened, and liberated. But because of this offering, offering to the Buddha, food or coin, whatever you offer, it becomes multiplied, multiplied, multiplied, thousand, million, hundreds of trillion, of zillion, of gazillion fold. That’s why he had to stay 91 eons to enjoy all these merits. So it’s better we make offering, but don’t think of anything. We do charity but don’t pray for any merit. It’s just somebody needs, we give. That’s it.

Buddhist Stories: “The Monk With The Golden Coin” (Part 1 of 2) August 26, 2015

“Ananda, you should know,” the Buddha said, “In the past life, from this life, counted backward, it’s 91…” “Not 91 lives, but 91 eons ago. There was a Buddha who came into the world, descending to the world, named Vipasyin. He used the Truth teaching, the merciful Dharma, to guide all the people on the planet, and liberate them. The number is impossible to count. At one time, this Buddha Vipasyin and his monks, were traveling around the country.” “At that time there was a person who was very, very poor. Every day he had to go and chop the wood, the dry wood and bring it to the city to sell it to make money, so that he could survive. At that time, when the Buddha was passing his village, he just sold his burden of wood, and he earned two coins, two coins, not two gold coins, two coins at that time.” “So he came in front of the Buddha, prostrated to him, and knelt there and offered with all his heart his two coins that he had at that day.” “The Buddha felt compassionate for him, knowing his situation. So he accepted it, not because the Buddha needed these two aluminum coins, or brass coins, or whatever. And then he also blessed him. ‘Ananda, you should know, that poor person at that time, who sincerely offered me two coins, and since that day, it is this person now. It is the bhiksu now, bhiksu Golden Coin now. Since that life until now, 91 eons have passed. Everywhere, every world that he has been born in, he always has been born in a rich, powerful family, and always has two coins in his hands all the time, 91 eons. Because of that, today he also has the fortune to meet the Truth Dharma, and then he attained Arhat. Even today, suppose this lifetime, he didn’t meet me, or he didn’t want to become a renunciate, and study and practice meditation under my guidance, then in the future, he’d have even more and more merit all the time, more richness, more power. Never finished. Ananda, all the beings should take the offering action very seriously as if it’s a job, as if for survival, because to be a human is difficult, to attain a human body is difficult. And you don’t know when you’ll get the human body again, next life. If you do not sow the seed of merit in this lifetime, then in the future life you’ll also have nothing.’”

We Should Eat Less to Meditate Better (Part 3 of 3) July 8, 2013

We Should Eat Less to Meditate Better (Part 3 of 3) July 8, 2013

We have eaten a lot. We have eaten a lot of food all our lives. Eating simple meals occasionally is okay, right? (Yes.) If you are too full, you will feel drowsy and sleepy. Maybe not sleepy, but you just feel not very at ease. Good. So let’s try it. “How to find the spiritual energy? Feeling?” It’s not just that. I mean you have to have merits, the ability, the sincerity, and the mission. Okay? If you do not have enough merit in spiritual practice and your level isn't high enough, it won't be much use sitting there. You won't feel anything. When I was busy before, I had to bear a lot of karma and deal with a lot of disciples. I was too busy to recharge myself. I sat at the same place, but I wasn't aware. Later, I concentrated on spiritual practice and went on retreat, and that's how I found it. Now I keep looking. I keep looking. It's getting better and better, and more and more powerful. I've mentioned it before. For me, one person, the Fifth Level is comfortable enough. There is no need to look for anything. What else do you want? It's more or less the same when you go to the highest heaven. I mean, everywhere is okay as long as we can help others.

We Should Eat Less to Meditate Better (Part 2 of 3) July 8, 2013

Don’t make your body crave too much for sweets. Because that ‘s an imbalance. That means your body is not having enough balanced food. Then it craves for sweetness. It’s not too good for you, either. Rather eat the normal food than chocolate and cakes every day. So the more vegetarian you eat, I mean vegan, vegetarian, the more pain you feel for others, if you see them. So you can't just eat them, because you feel too much pain for them. Even if you remember the good taste, you wouldn't want to, because you feel the pain of the chicken, the pigs, whatever, the innocent lives, helpless animals. “Yesterday you said that five percent of the world’s population is breatharian!” Yeah! I mean the category is like that, but they are also waterian, solarian, breatharian, pranarian, liquidarian. Yes, eat very little solid food. Or nothing. “I thought that would be so convenient.” If I had become breatharian, probably I would be too free and I probably would have not karma enough to continue to stay or to continue to help people. So, that was probably a choice, a divine choice, divine intervention or something like that.

The raw food people, they prepare a very balanced diet. They put different kinds of things in there. Maybe even raw pine nuts and raw walnuts and all that. But you have to know that with too much heavy food, it’s difficult to concentrate. Actually eating raw is more clean. Try to focus more inside and on the Third Eye, so that you can break through and go into a nicer area. As long as you feel good and you practice well and you always feel improving in your heart, that is the right thing for you. Some people take a longer time, some people don't take too long. Some people see the effect immediately because that's what they have been looking for. And to some people, the changes are subtle. Some people are, I see, are more burdened with karma (retribution), a little bit more heavy karma from the past life, so they feel it less. Or sometimes they have a little doubt, and sometimes the change takes too long for them, for example.

We Have to Focus on the Positive Side (Part 2 of 2) August 6-7, 2013

We Have to Focus on the Positive Side (Part 2 of 2) August 6-7, 2013

Actually, in the Hadiths (sayings of Prophet Muhammad), it says you should respect all beings. “Allah only has mercy on those who have mercy on others.” That’s including animals. So the Muslims I know, the people who are Muslim I know, are very nice. Very peaceful, very good. And they always wish you peace. As-salaam-alaikum. I’m the one who also believes in lslam very much. I believe in the Prophet, even though I’m not officially Muslim. If God tells me to kill Hiers children, I would not believe in that God. Every country has to earn some merit in order to have a Master to come visit or not. Any killed animals are bad for any country. The more animals killed in any country, the worse for that country. Maybe not immediately, but later on. You see? The bad karma will never go away. Will never go away. It will come back later, or now. That’s it.

Thank you, all of you, everybody who wants to bring me gifts. Food and photos, painting, where do I put? It’s maybe funny to you, but it is the truth. Okay? Cave woman! When I come here, I dress up for you to please your godly eyes. To please your saintly hearts in this little miserable world. I make it a little more colorful, I make jokes to make you happy. I’m here, precious time, okay? I spend time with you. I make the best for you. When I’m at home, I’m very strict with myself. Sometimes I feel hungry, I don’t go to eat even. I need to meditate to go up higher. Okay? Everyone is different. You just do your best. Every minute that you’re free, try to remember. And of course, always recite the Holy Names to protect yourself. And try to always go inside whenever you can.

Love Is an International Language September 18, 2017

“It’s good already that we have translators. And I even speak English and Chinese. And some Maharajis don’t speak anything. I mean they just speak some language and very difficult. But never mind, love is international. It’s all we understand here. In Heaven, we understand everything. Dogs understand everything. I’m surprised. And we treat them like idiots or like worthless animals. They understand better than us.” “ Whatever you eat, you pray, OK? Maybe it helps you a little bit; otherwise, nowadays the water is not clean even. OK, then we meditate even more. Otherwise, you may die earlier than those in the old time, so you must meditate more. It’s good for motivation.”
