Strong as an ox, they say! Well, you can be too with this health and fitness tip. Resistance bands are large elastic bands used for exercises that stretch and strengthen muscles. They are especially useful for conditions like plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the tissue under the foot that can cause heel pain. Using resistance bands can improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and ease discomfort in the feet and lower legs. To try toe curls, sit with your feet flat, loop the band around the balls of your feet, and pull back with your toes, then release. For foot stretches, wrap the band around the ball of your foot, gently pull it toward you until you feel a stretch, hold for 15–30 seconds, then relax. For calf raises, place the band under the balls of your feet while standing, hold the ends, and rise slowly onto your tiptoes before lowering again. For ankle rolls, sit with the band around your foot, keep light tension, and rotate your ankle in circles one way, then the other. Start with a few repetitions, move slowly, and increase difficulty gradually. Always check with a healthcare professional before beginning new exercises.
