Dear Compassionate Master, During the five-day meditation retreat in 2007 in Hsihu, Taiwan (Formosa), I had inner visions that have remained very vivid to me, even now. That day, in samadhi, I saw my astral body entering a cave. What I felt was an extremely light and pure energy field. Looking around, I saw no one, so I took out my meditation cushion and Quan Yin cloth from my backpack and sat down to meditate.
Suddenly, I heard a male voice, deep, resonant, warm, and full of power: “May I become your child so that I can practice with Master Ching Hai?” Through telepathy, I asked back, “Who are you?” The same voice responded, “We are Lamas. Our duty here is to bless the world and maintain balance for the Earth. We have witnessed many masters come and go. But Master Ching Hai is a True Master (High Level). We wish to learn from Her to elevate ourselves and return Home with Her. If you give me this opportunity, I will bring glory to you.” I quickly refused, “No, no. I already have a seven-year-old son. You can go to my initiate brothers and sisters; they will be very happy to welcome You.”
As soon as I finished speaking, I hurried out of the cave as fast as I could. Suddenly, I remembered my Quan Yin cloth and belongings, which were still inside the cave, so I had to go back to get them. But when I returned, I was astonished to find that the cave was now just a pile of ruins. Nearby, there was a group of about more than 10 people who were dressed in solemn attire, with their hands folded, facing the cave with sorrowful expressions. I approached and asked and learned that this is a sacred place in the Himalayas. Inside that cave were the long-time true spiritual practitioners, and these people regularly came here to receive blessings from Them. At that moment, I thought that perhaps They had gone to find my fellow Quan Yin brothers and sisters to negotiate for a chance to practice in time.
Through this inner vision, I feel truly fortunate to be Your disciple. Many genuine practitioners are still yearning to reincarnate to learn from You. We vow to be the extended hands, spreading the precious Dharma to those around us. I wish Master to have lasting health and safety under the protection of the Almighty!
