Charity musical “Loving the Silent Tears” delights attendees in South Korea. On July 19, 2025, the two-day journey of the musical “Loving the Silent Tears” began at Sejong University’s Daeyang Hall in Seoul, South Korea. “Loving the Silent Tears” is an amazing Broadway-style musical that explores the soul’s profound yearning for inner peace. Drawing inspiration from the poetic anthology “Silent Tears,” by Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan), this enchanting production takes audiences on a whimsical train journey across 16 countries.

The performance was directed by renowned South Korean actress Park Hae-mi, who also played the musical’s lead character of “Joy.” The show featured over 50 performers and vibrant scenes, including a Korean hanbok fashion segment that deeply moved audiences. Vegan meals were provided to the performance team and crew during the preparation period for this presentation. The Korean production incorporated new elements into the musical, specifically amazing holographic visuals and media art that brought diverse cultures to life on stage. The originally planned two performances were expanded to four shows due to overwhelming interest, attracting approximately 7,000 enthusiastic spectators. The climactic moments at the end transformed the theater into a unified celebration as audience members waved blue heart-shaped light sticks symbolizing the ocean, singing along with the performers. Beyond entertainment, the event promoted environmental consciousness through an extensive vegan zone with the theme “Be Vegan, Save the Planet.” It featured delightful food, drinks, and products, all free from animal-folk. All proceeds from the sales were donated to Korean animal-people shelters.

Our standing ovation, Loving the Silent Tears team in South Korea, for your wonderful performances. May the Korean people rapidly join the marvelous vegan journey, in Buddha’s Benevolence.
