Sikh Shabad Kirtan Presented by Bibi Mandeep Kaur Khalsa and Group, Part 2 of 2

Only one who has faith comes to know such a state of mind. Such is the Name of the lmmaculate Lord. The state of the faithful cannot be described. One who tries to describe this shall regret the attempt. No paper, no pen, no scribe can record the state of the faithful. The faithful have intuitive awareness and intelligence. The faithful know about all worlds and realms. The faithful shall never be struck across the face. The faithful do not have to go with the Messenger of Death. The path of the faithful shall never be blocked. The faithful shall depart with honor and fame.

The Only Criminal is Ignorance, Part 2 of 3 May 28, 1999, Prague, Czech Republic

We must love our neighbor, we must even love our enemy; but, it is difficult for us because we do not realize how great the neighbor is, how great the enemy also is, because we do not realize how great we are ourselves. God cannot give peace on Earth if we do not make peace ourselves. Because we have the power. We are the representatives of God here. We must do things that we should do in this level because we exist here. But to see Heaven, to see the celestial world, to see the invisible side of God, we must use heavenly ears, we must use heavenly eye.

Selection from the Zohar – Kabbalistic Philosophy on the Sound, the Soul, and the Mystery of the Logos, Part 1 of 2

Kabbalah is the ancient mystical school of thought of Judaism. Kabbalah aims to explain the relationship between God - the unchanging and eternal Ein Sof (The Infinite), and God’s creation – the mortal and finite universe. In order that the Sanctuary of God might exist upon Earth, it needed manifestation by means of a Word or Logos. In the ages to come, [the science of words and sounds] will be recovered, and Heaven and earth, men and angels joined in unity and living in harmony, nations, kindreds and tribes of man now will again be one people and have all one language, and the knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas.

Japanese Norito - Shinto Prayers

Shinto is the indigenous faith of Japanese people. An ancient religion, with no founder, doctrines or dogmas, it evolves through a sense of awe and gratitude toward the nature world and is expressed through myth and ritual. In a Shinto ceremony, a prayer called norito is recited by a chief or presiding Shinto priest. Shinto prayers usually open with words in praise of the kami, make some reference to the origin possibly the history of festival, enumerate the offering presented, express the thanksgiving, report to or petition the kami and finally close with some words of respect and awe.

It’s Not Too Late to Get Enlightenment, Part 2 of 5 Nov 26, 1994, Thailand

Spiritual practice concerns the mind, not the body. After the mind is controlled, the body is controlled. That’s why we do not emphasize to people that they have to practice the position first, but we emphasize that we will give you the extra controlling power, so that at the beginning of your practice you can immediately calm your mind and have an immediate result of enlightenment. We help you to unlock your controlling power from the highest source of the Buddha Nature, or what we call the Kingdom of God in different religions. The secret is we know the way. If we don’t know the secret, it doesn’t matter how hard we try, how sincere we are, we will not have results, as we wanted.

“The Three Questions” - An Inspirational Short Story by Leo Tolstoy, Part 2 of 2

The king was happy to be so easily reconciled with his enemy, and he not only forgave him but promised to return his property and send his own physician and servants to attend him. “Remember then: there is only one important time – now. And it is important because it is the only time we have dominion over ourselves; and the most important man is he with whom you are, for no one can know whether or not he will ever have dealings with any other man; and the most important pursuit is to do good to him, since it is for that purpose alone that man was sent into this life.”

Selection from Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: Book III & IV, Part 1 of 2

BOOK III-VIBHOOTI PADA The Book of Powers Dharana (concentration) is holding the mind on to some particular object. An unbroken flow of knowledge to that object is Dhyana (meditation). When that, giving up all forms, reflects only the meaning, it is Samadhi. The three processes of Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi, when taken together on the same object, place or point is called Samyama. By the conquest of that comes light of knowledge.

The Ultimate Fortune of Meeting a Perfect Living Master: Interview with Ishwar Puri Ji, Part 1 of 4

The Ultimate Fortune of Meeting a Perfect Living Master: Interview with Ishwar Puri Ji, Part 1 of 4

The teachings of Great Master are not a religion at all. It’s good for every religion of the world. It’s a way to discover your own Self. And every religion wants us to discover the Truth about our own Self. Therefore, you cannot call the Path of the Masters or Sant Mat, taught by Great Master Hazur Maharaj Baba Sawan Singh, a religion. He Himself said it is not a religion, and His followers included members of every religion of the world, including those who did not believe in religion. Even atheists were followers of Great Master.

Selection from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s Book “Nature”: Essays “Discipline” and “Spirit,” Part 1 of 2

In view of the significance of nature, we arrive at once at a new fact, that nature is a discipline. This use of the world includes the preceding uses, as parts of itself. Space, time, society, labor, climate, food, locomotion, the animals, the mechanical forces, give us sincerest lessons, day by day, whose meaning is unlimited. They educate both the Understanding and the Reason. Every property of matter is a school for the understanding, - its solidity or resistance, its inertia, its extension, its figure, its divisibility.

It’s Not Too Late to Get Enlightenment, Part 3 of 5 Nov 26, 1994, Thailand

The Buddha has 84,000 methods to teach the disciples. I think I'll make use of every one of them. Anything that can help sentient beings to realize their true nature and leave aside the attachment at the end, it is a good method, it's a good way. It is the same way of learning, just a more charming, more attractive way of learning. Just a way of putting color into this miserable situation and tryi

The Six Paths to Perfection, Part 1 of 4, March 1, 1991

The Six Paths to Perfection, Part 1 of 4, March 1, 1991

In the Diamond Sutra, the Buddha said that there are Six Perfection: Giving, Keeping the precepts, Tolerance, Diligence, Meditation, then Wisdom. What is giving? Giving money, giving effort, giving mental support, and giving spirituality. The Buddha said that giving spirituality is the best giving. In the Medicine Buddha Sutra, it said: When the Medicine Buddha still practiced the Bodhisattva way, He gave whatever anyone asked of Him, every material thing. After they ate and felt satisfied and healthy, He would teach them the Supreme Method so that they could escape from the circle of birth and death.

Selection from Meister Eckhart’s Sermons “The Attractive Power of God” and “The Self-Communication of God,” Part 2 of 2

00:19:45

Selection from Meister Eckhart’s Sermons “The Attractive Power of God” and “The Self-Communication of God,” Part 2 of 2

The soul has by nature two capacities. The one is intelligence, which may comprehend the Holy Trinity with all its works. The second capacity is Will. Its essential characteristic is to plunge into the Unknown which is God. The Unknown God imparts His impress to the Will. The soul is greater by its love-giving power than by its life-giving power. Thank God, while you are in time, that He brought you out of non-existence to existence, and united you with the Divine Nature. But if the Divine Nature be beyond your comprehension, believe simply in Christ; follow His holy example and remain steadfast.

From Sufism’s Sacred Fihi ma Fihi: Discourses of Rumi, Discourse 11, Part 1 of 2

“I am God.” Some people think this is a great pretension, but “I am God” is in fact a great humility. Those who say, instead, “I am a servant of God” believe that two exist, themselves and God. But those who say, “I am God” have become nothing and have cast themselves to the winds. They say, “I am God” meaning, “I am not, God is all. There is no existence but God. I have lost all separation. I am nothing.” In this the humility is greater.

It’s Not Too Late to Get Enlightenment, Part 1 of 5 Nov 26, 1994, Thailand

That’s the trouble with our world. Everyone is so humble and so shy, and does not try to express our feelings and does not try hard to achieve what we want to do. Our shyness and fear sometimes inhibit us and let us get stuck in our daily routine despite our eagerness to find some new solution or some new meaning to our life. And that’s also the reason why I think many of us cannot attain enlightenment, even though the Buddha has promised that every one of us will become Buddha. He is the one who became the Buddha, but we will become Buddha. He said all of us have Buddha Nature.

Selection from “The Practice of the Presence of God: The Best Rule of Holy Life” by Brother Lawrence, Part 2 of 2

I believe you have taken such effectual measures, that you will not be surprised. I commend you for it, it is the one thing necessary: we must, nevertheless, always work at it, because not to advance, in the spiritual life, is to go back. But those who have the gale of the HOLY SPIRIT go forward even in sleep. If the vessel of our soul is still tossed with winds and storms, let us awake the LORD, who reposes in it, and He will quickly calm the sea.

Whatever We Assimilate Inside Is Translated Outsidee: Part 1 (1/2) July 30-31, 2013

Whatever you assimilate inside, even though invisibly and you might not notice it, but it’s translated outside. When you come back from higher worlds, sometimes the mind doesn’t record it. Even just a little dream at night, you wake up, you forget. And dream is even black-and-white and it’s right there, but you forgot. So not to talk about going to higher levels. Don’t worry. You must have progres

Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Book ”Secrets to Effortless Spiritual Practice,” Pages 174-199, Part 1 of 2

As long as we’re in the material world, every material thing affects us. That’s why we must take care to eat pure foods, foods that have less karmic burden, that have less suffering for our own sake. There are differences between people, not only between Master and disciples. Therefore, I’ve taught you to be frugal, not to be greedy and exceed your share. Do not spend more than you have. When it’s necessary, you can take and use. When it’s not, try not to. Otherwise we might get in trouble. Sometimes we might get sick, or get an incurable disease.

Selection from the Zohar – Kabbalistic Philosophy on the Sound, the Soul, and the Mystery of the Logos, Part 2 of 2

The nephesh and ruach are the two angles at the base of a triangle and with that of the apex form a whole or perfect figure. When the neshama, the spiritual self or higher self, prevails and rules within a man, he becomes holy and divine, because he then begins to conform himself to the image or likeness of the Holy One. The nephesh is the lower part of the individuality and its personal manifestation is the outward material body. Without the one, the other could not exist. As the body is to the nephesh so is this nephesh to the ruach. The ruach is superior to the nephesh.

All go to the soul. What’s important is the Master. Whenever you remember the Master, He will send, if the Master is a very highly developed person, highly realized person, He can send energy, to help you to meditate. If we know the human brain completely (How to work). Then we can discover also spiritual aspect.(Yes.) There is something that makes the brain function. And that something is what the Buddhists call Buddha Nature. It’s not the physical brain really. It is something hidden within the physical apparatus.

From Sufism’s Sacred Fihi ma Fihi: Discourses of Rumi, Discourse 11, Part 2 of 2

Though the words of the great saints appear in a hundred different forms, since God is one and the Way is one, how can their words be different? Though their teachings appear to contradict, their meaning is one. Separation exists in their outward form only; in inner purpose they all agree. The great saints have seen for themselves, not by proof and rote, but face to face and unveiled, that all people - good or evil – are obedient servants of God. Nothing exists that does not proclaim God’s praise.
