Jo-Anne uses her images to highlight how desensitized we have become to the rightful lives of animals who are imprisoned and exploited for human consumption, amusement, animal testing and other animal industries such as wool and fur. And so I made the “We Animals” book. As humans, we are all animals, and we are all sentient, and deserving of autonomy and respect and care. That we can all use our own skills whatever they maybe, to make the world a better place. That to help people, help animals, help the environment, because everything really is an emergency right now. We’re the ones who are causing the problems and so we need to be the ones enacting solutions.
