For much of my life, I was searching for something, but I did not know what it was. All I knew was that “something” was missing in my life, and I felt hollow inside. I tried many ways to find the “something” that was missing. As a youth, I thought it might be education. So, I attended university and earned two degrees. But when I graduated, I felt an even greater sense of emptiness. Then I thought what was missing was a career. So, I found a good job and began to earn a good salary. But after some time, I realized this was not it.
Then I thought perhaps I wanted love: a partner with whom to share my life and some children. So, I got married, and we had several children. While this gave me a sense of purpose for a few years, the sense of emptiness eventually returned once more. Then I turned to religion. I joined a Christian church and became very active in church activities. However, once again, I felt that “something” was missing. Finally, I happened to stumble across Supreme Master Ching Hai’s teachings.
At first, I was hesitant, because, as a Westerner, the idea of following a Master seemed strange to me. However, the more I read of Master’s teachings, the more convinced I was that this was what my soul had been longing for. After watching the first video lecture of Master, I was 100% sure and was initiated soon after. Since then, my life has changed completely. I clearly understand my life’s purpose is to follow Master, practice Quan Yin meditation, and be liberated from the endless cycle of birth and death in one lifetime. I am no longer searching. I have found what I was looking for.
I am deeply grateful to Supreme Master Ching Hai for Your boundless Love, Your immense sacrifices, and for being an impeccable example for us to follow. I cannot imagine my life without You. I am also grateful for Supreme Master Television, which is a lifeline for me. Wishing Master excellent health, a long life, and may our shared wish for World Vegan, World Peace soon come true. Soul-searching Violet, Your words and experiences poetically describe the longing and desire of each human, as many of us have forgotten about the purpose of our incarnation, life after life, which is to find God, practice the ancient method of meditating on the inner Heavenly Light and Sound, and be liberated from the cycle of birth and death. We rejoice in you finding your way back Home through Quan Yin meditation and are eternally grateful to Master for Her Grace and Divine arrangement for each soul’s path.
