Farmers in Texas, USA struggle to cope with the worst drought in the region since the 1930s, with more than 82% of the state affected by extreme drought and 75% of this year's wheat crop yields rated as poor or very poor.
Temperatures in India's southeastern state of Gujarat are reaching record highs in cities such as Idar in Sabarkantha District, where a scorching 45 degrees Celsius has been recorded, four degrees above normal.
